Exploring Higher Education Paths, Hundreds of IT al-Irsyad al-Islamiyyah Purwokerto High School Students Visit UIN Jakarta

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN News Online — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta welcomed 250 students of IT Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Purwokerto High School in Harun Nasution Auditorium on Thursday (10/10/2024). The visit was conducted to provide an introduction to campus culture and environment for students who will soon enter higher education.

Their visit was welcomed directly by the Information and Public Relations Center of LP2M UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.Ag., revealed that UIN Jakarta as one of the oldest Islamic Religious Universities in Indonesia, always opens the door for all high school students who want to join and study at UIN Jakarta. He also said that UIN Jakarta is committed to providing a quality and inclusive educational environment.

“UIN Jakarta is always open for students who want to join and gain knowledge. As a leading Islamic university in Indonesia, we are ready to support the academic development and potential of the younger generation,” said the Head of Information Center and Public Relations of UIN Jakarta.

Head of Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah IT High School, Faizul Munif, S.Si., also expressed his pride for the opportunity for students to be able to visit directly and be accepted by UIN Jakarta. “We hope this visit will give students a broad insight into the campus world, especially at UIN Jakarta, and motivate them to continue their education in college,” he said.

The event then continued with the core session in the form of material presentation delivered by Dr. Deden Mauli Darajat, M.A. In his presentation, Dr. Deden explained about the academic and non-academic environment at UIN Jakarta, various entry points available for prospective students, scholarship programs, and campus facilities. This information is expected to provide students with a clear picture of the new student admission process at UIN Jakarta and the opportunities they can achieve.

“We hope students get a clear picture of the opportunities to study here,” explained Dr. Deden.

After the presentation, the event continued with a question and answer session that took place interactively. The students were enthusiastic in asking various questions related to studies at UIN Jakarta, ranging from scholarship opportunities to job prospects for UIN graduates.

This activity ended with the hope that this kind of visit will further strengthen the cooperative relationship between UIN Jakarta and various schools in Indonesia. In addition, this visit is expected to provide students with a broader insight into the world of higher education, especially at UIN Jakarta, and motivate them to continue their education at a higher level.
