Exploring Higher Education Opportunities, Students from SMAIT Fithrah Insani Visit UIN Jakarta
Diorama Room, UIN News Online – UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta warmly welcomed over 100 11th-grade students from SMAIT Fithrah Insani Baleendah, Bandung, on Monday (13/01/2025). The visit aimed to introduce the students to the university environment as they prepare to transition from secondary to higher education.
The event took place in the Diorama Room on the ground floor of the Harun Nasution Auditorium. The visiting group, led by SMAIT Fithrah Insani Principal Sufyan Ali Sandi, S.Pd., and accompanied by Grade XI teachers, was greeted by Zaenal Muttaqin, S.Th.I., M.Ag., Head of the Public Relations Information Center. Joining him were staff members Yuyun Yuliana and Taufan Maulana Firdaus, S.Pd., from the Information and Public Relations Center.
In his welcoming remarks, Zaenal Muttaqin highlighted UIN Jakarta’s wide range of academic programs. “We offer diverse study programs, excelling not only in Islamic studies but also in fields like medicine, which have become highly sought after by new students,” he said.
Principal Sufyan Ali Sandi expressed his appreciation for UIN Jakarta as a favored destination for students from Islamic schools. “UIN Jakarta is a leading institution that aligns with the Islamic integration values instilled in our students,” he said. “The Islamic principles we nurture must be preserved and further developed, and UIN Jakarta embodies this commitment.”
During the visit, students were introduced to UIN Jakarta’s 86 academic programs spread across 13 faculties. Admission pathways were also explained, including five different entry routes: SNBP and SPAN PTKIN (report card-based), SNBT and UM-PTKIN (test-based), and the independent SPMB pathway managed by UIN Jakarta.
UIN Jakarta’s national accreditation and international recognitions from organizations like ASIIN and ACQUIN were emphasized as key factors that make the university a leading choice for students seeking high-quality Islamic and general education. Additionally, the university’s extensive domestic and international collaborations, including student exchanges and joint research programs, were presented as significant advantages.
The visit concluded with the exchange of souvenirs and expressions of gratitude. Both the teachers and students expressed enthusiasm for UIN Jakarta as a prospective choice for their future studies.
“Hopefully, more of our students will pursue their education at UIN Jakarta, following the path of their seniors who have excelled here,” said Principal Sufyan.
One of the students, Ayyubi, shared his impressions of the visit. “The campus is lush and scenic, especially during the electric bus tour. After attending this event, I’m seriously considering UIN Jakarta as my first choice for university,” he said.
The visit provided an engaging and informative experience, strengthening the connection between SMAIT Fithrah Insani and UIN Jakarta while inspiring the next generation of students to pursue excellence in higher education.
