Expanding Enrollment Pipelines: UIN Jakarta Welcomes Bekasi Educational Foundation, Highlighting Talent Scouting and Merit Tracks

FITK Building, UIN Online News – UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta hosted a major academic orientation visit involving hundreds of high school and madrasah students from the Darul Mu'allamah Foundation, Bekasi, West Java. Organized to expand youth literacy regarding higher education ecosystems, the delegation was officially received at the Mahmud Yunus Theater Room, located within the Faculty of Educational Sciences (FITK) building on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

The campus orientation was managed by the executive communications officers of the UIN Jakarta Information and Public Relations Center (PIH), Yuyun Yuliana and Taufan Maulana Firdaus. The student delegation was led directly by the Chairman of the Darul Mu'allamah Foundation, Drs. KH. Iip Sarip Bustomi, accompanied by senior faculty members and institutional administrative managers from the foundation.

In his opening address, the Foundation Chairman, KH. Iip Sarip Bustomi, stated that through this strategic visitation, the foundation strongly aims to construct a direct educational partnership with UIN Jakarta, which remains a top-tier favorite destination for their student body.

“Our foundation maintains a progressive goal to establish collaborative pipelines, both through physical institutional channels and digital networks. I strongly believe in the philosophy that familiarity breeds deeper connection. Therefore, we hope this site visit transitions smoothly into sustainable administrative communication and formal partnerships,” he remarked.

The visitation focused heavily on a comprehensive institutional briefing introducing the university's assets to the prospective applicants. During his presentation, Taufan Maulana Firdaus detailed that UIN Jakarta offers vast multi-disciplinary choices to cultivate student specializations at the tertiary level, operating 4 distinct campus sites, 12 specialized faculties, and 56 undergraduate study programs, alongside elite graduate schools, professional licensing tracks, and medical specialist programs.

He re-emphasized that pursuing a degree at UIN Jakarta offers supreme institutional advantages, particularly regarding verified quality metrics. The university holds the highest institutional accreditation status, reinforced by a massive percentage of individual departments clearing identical high-level benchmarks.

“The foundational indicator evaluating any higher education hub is its institutional and departmental accreditation tier. UIN Jakarta has officially secured the premier 'Unggul' (Excellent) national accreditation rating, with an impressive 80 percent of our individual study programs successfully mirroring this highest quality tier,” Firdaus explained.

To secure undergraduate enrollment, UIN Jakarta operates a highly sophisticated, diversified matrix consisting of 5 distinct admission pathways designed to capture multi-dimensional student talent:

  1. National Merit-Based Screening: Incorporating the national SNBP track and the specialized SPAN-PTKIN track for outstanding high school academic profiles.

  2. National Standardized Examinations: Processing entries via the computer-based UTBK-SNBT and the automated UM-PTKIN national testing networks.

  3. Independent Institutional Admissions (SPMB Mandiri): Partitioned into regular entrance testing and highly specialized non-regular tracks.

The non-regular independent pathways feature advanced institutional rekrutmen modules, including the Academic and Non-Academic Merit Track, the Talent Scouting Program, the Educational Opportunity Equalization Track (designed to bridge geographical disparities), and the central Public Service Agency (BLU) Scholarship. Furthermore, the university offers simplified administrative tracks that allow candidates to apply using their existing national SNBT or UM-PTKIN standardized test scores without retaking local exams.

Through this strategic academic outreach, the visiting students secured vital, data-backed insights regarding the demands and structural opportunities of undergraduate university life, equipping them with the exact knowledge needed to strategically map out their future academic concentrations at UIN Jakarta.
