Encouraging Student Development: UIN Jakarta Officially Establishes the Administrators of UKM and LO for 2025
Jakarta, UIN News Online -- UIN Jakarta continues to prioritize the growth of students' non-academic interests by supporting diverse student activities. As part of this commitment, the university has officially appointed new administrators to lead 19 Student Activity Units (UKM) and Autonomous Institutions (LO) for the 2025 term. The ceremony took place on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Harun Nasution Auditorium.
Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ali Munhanif, M.A., Ph.D., along with the Head of the Bureau of Academic Administration, Student Affairs, and Cooperation (AAKK), and the Vice Deans for Student Affairs, were present to oversee the appointment of the new administrators for each UKM and LO at UIN Jakarta.
During his address, Prof. Ali congratulated the newly appointed leaders and emphasized the important role they play in advancing student activities at UIN Jakarta. “Congratulations to the administrators who have been appointed. You are the chosen ones who will lead the way in developing student activities at UIN Jakarta. This is also a great responsibility to advance UKM and LO, and to help UIN Jakarta become a leading PTKIN in Indonesia,” he remarked.
Prof. Ali stressed that integrity, discipline, and responsibility are essential qualities for leaders, and they must uphold the university's reputation. He also pointed out that fostering students’ talents and interests has become a global priority for many universities, underscoring the importance of this initiative.
The event continued with the formal reading of the Decree (SK) on the Appointment of UKM and LO Administrators for the 2025 term by Dr. Sri Ilham Lubis, Lc. M.Pd., Head of the AAKK Bureau. Subsequently, all heads of UKM and LO signed an Integrity Pact, which was witnessed by the university leaders.
The newly appointed administrators represent a wide range of student interests and activities. The 16 appointed Student Activity Units (UKM) include the Foreign Languages Association (LANGUAGE - FLAT), Jayakarta Student Regiment Comandante Units “Wira Dharma” (MENWA), Nature Lovers Group (KPA ARKADIA), Environmental and Humanitarian Student Group (KMPLHK RANITA), Scout, Syahid Theatre, Association of Student Qari and Qariah (HIQMA), Student Sports Federation (FORSA), Photography Student Community (KMF KALACITRA), Student Choir (PSM), Student Press Institute (LPM Institut), Marching Band, Indonesian Red Cross Volunteer Corps (KSR PMI), Syahid Campus Da'wah Institute (LDK Syahid), Student Cooperative (KOPMA), and Student Music Community (KMM RIAK). Additionally, three Autonomous Organizations (LO) were appointed: the International Association of Students in Economics and Business (AIESEC), Forum of Bidikmisi-KIP College Students (FORMABI KIP), and Fatahillah Researchers for Science and Humanity (FRESH).
With this appointment, UIN Jakarta expects the new administrators to carry out their responsibilities with full dedication and contribute to the enhancement of student organizations, thereby improving the quality of student life at the university.
