Eid al-Adha, UIN Jakarta slaughter 36 qurban animals

Rectorate, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta slaughtered at least 36 sacrificial animals on Eid al-Adha 1442 H on Thursday (07/22/2021) in four different locations.

The Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis expressed her gratitude to individuals and institution who entrusted their sacrificial animals at UIN Jakarta. According to Amany, sacrificial activities in the teachings of Islam are highly recommended, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Eid al-Adha Committee, Mohammad Syairozi Dimyati Ilyas said that the sacrificial animals distributed through UIN Jakarta came from various circles, both from the academic community and partner institutions. The number of animals sacrificed consisted of 18 cows and 18 goats.

The sacrificial animals that are entrusted to UIN Jakarta came from BNI, Bank Mega Syariah, BSI, Bank Mandiri, BJB Syariah, Al-Khairat Turki Foundation, Qatar Embassy, Hajj Financial Management Agency, and PT Moratelindo. While from individuals, including university leaders, faculty leaders, heads of institutions, lecturers, and employees.

“In addition, there were also shipments from the UIN Jakarta Alumni Association as many as 300 bags of meat to be distributed. Insha Allah, the intention of the sacrificers will get blessings from Allah SWT,” said Syairozi.

The distribution of sacrificial meat itself is carried out in four locations, namely campuses 1 and 2, the Bojongsari Teacher Professional Education (PPG) building, and the UIN Jakarta Guest House in Cikuya, Tangerang. (usa/ns)
