DWP of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Honors Outstanding Regional Offices and State Islamic Higher Education Institutions
Ciputat, UIN Online News – The Dharma Wanita Persatuan of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (DWP) presented awards to outstanding DWP chapters from Regional Offices (Kanwil) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN). The awards were presented during the Halalbihalal gathering and National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of the DWP of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, held on Wednesday (15 April 2026).
The awards were given in recognition of the recipients' performance, innovation, and tangible contributions in supporting the Ministry of Religious Affairs' programs, while also encouraging improvements in reporting quality and the development of flagship initiatives across regions.
At the Regional Office level, the DWP of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Regional Office of South Kalimantan received the Most Comprehensive e-Reporting Award. It was followed by the DWP Regional Office of East Java, which received the Complete e-Reporting Award, and the DWP Regional Office of South Sumatra, which earned the Adequate e-Reporting Award. Meanwhile, the DWP Regional Office of Aceh was recognized for producing the Best Regional Office Flagship Program Video.
Among the State Islamic Higher Education Institutions, the DWP of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya received the Most Comprehensive e-Reporting Award, followed by the DWP of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang with the Complete e-Reporting Award, and the DWP of IAIN Takengon with the Adequate e-Reporting Award. In addition, the DWP of STAIN Mandailing Natal was honored with the Best Flagship Program Video Award among PTKIN institutions.
The Halalbihalal and National Coordination Meeting also reaffirmed the importance of strengthening women's roles in addressing contemporary challenges. Helmi Halimatul Udhmah, Advisor to the DWP of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, stated that the Halalbihalal, held in conjunction with the commemoration of Raden Ajeng Kartini Day, served not only as an opportunity to strengthen fellowship but also as a platform to reinforce solidarity and highlight the strategic role of women as agents of change.
“Women play a strategic role in driving positive change within families, organizations, and the nation. The Dharma Wanita Persatuan of the Ministry of Religious Affairs is expected to become a truly impactful and empowering force,” she said.
She further explained that the Rakornas theme, "Strengthening Fellowship, Reinforcing Synergy, and Building an Impactful and Empowered Dharma Wanita Persatuan of the Ministry of Religious Affairs," reflects the organization's commitment to institutional development. Accordingly, all DWP chapters were encouraged to focus on three key priorities: fostering meaningful relationships grounded in empathy, strengthening purposeful and measurable collaboration, and implementing programs that deliver tangible benefits to society.
In addition, DWP members were encouraged to develop innovative initiatives that address contemporary needs, including economic empowerment, family resilience, digital literacy, and social welfare. Strengthening both individual and organizational capacity, along with expanding cross-sector collaboration, was also emphasized as essential to increasing the impact of DWP programs.
The National Coordination Meeting was attended by approximately 250 participants, including DWP leaders and representatives from Regional Offices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and State Islamic Higher Education Institutions across Indonesia. The event was also attended by Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, senior officials from the Ministry, distinguished DWP figures, and DWP representatives from provinces throughout the country.
