Dharma Wanita PBB UIN Jakarta Holds Quran Completion and Charity
Student Center Hall, UIN Online News - Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) UIN Jakarta, in collaboration with other financial partners, organized a Khotmul Quran (Quran Completion) event and charitable actions to commemorate the holy month of Ramadan 1446 H.
The event was conducted in the Student Center Auditorium on Monday (03/17/2025), attended by the Rector of UIN Jakarta, DWP officials, bank representatives, orphans, and UIN Jakarta staff.
In his address, Asep Saipudin Jahar commended the event and the charitable initiatives as an annual agenda that exemplifies the collaboration between DWP, UIN Jakarta, and banking partners in enhancing social welfare.
"May all of us gathered here be bestowed with blessings from the sharing of this joy," he commended.
The Rector also conveyed appreciation to the sponsors who facilitated the organizing of the Khotmul Quran event and Ramadan contributions this year. He asserts that the support offered will be very beneficial for the target populations.
"God willing, these events will contribute to their joy during the sacred month of Ramadan," he expressed.
As for the DWP UIN Jakarta, it provided IDR 26 million, which is converted to 120 basic meal packages, 40 prayer robes, and contributions for 30 orphans. Tati Komariah, B.Ec., Chairperson of the DWP UIN Jakarta, mentioned that a total of 530 food package grants were also sent from different benefactors:
- 150 basic food packages from Bank Tabungan Negara
- IDR 16 million, equivalent to 130 basic food packages from Bank Jabar Banten Syariah
- 100 basic food packages from Bank Mandiri
- IDR 10 million, equivalent to 80 basic food packages from Bank Syariah Indonesia
- 50 basic food packages from Bank Nasional Indonesia.
"We are grateful for the support from various parties, which enabled us to distribute aid to orphans and employees within the UIN Jakarta community this year. Let this serve as a blessing for us all,” she said.
Sawitri Cahyaningrum, Head of Bank BTN Ciputat Branch, representing the attending banking partners, underscored their dedication to supporting the social initiatives of Dharma Wanita UIN Jakarta, including those concerning the education and care of disadvantaged children.
"We highly value the efforts of UIN Jakarta and Dharma Wanita Persatuan in coordinating this social initiative. I hope that the established collaboration would enable contributions to various beneficial community service programs in the future," she expressed.
The celebration culminated in a ceremony for distributing money to orphans and workers, symbolically executed by each banking partner. Thereafter, the event closed with a photograph session along with the Rector of UIN Jakarta and the attendees.
