Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Inaugurated the Opening of Jakarta Islamic Education Fair 2017

Jakarta, UIN News Online – Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Djarot Saiful Hidayat inaugurated the opening of Jakarta Islamic Education Fair (JIEF) 2017, Friday, (5/5), at Jakarta Islamic Center, Koja, North Jakarta.

The three days event is participated by a number of Islamic Universities in Indonesia.  In addition to educational expo, this event is also filled with several activities, such as seminars, children's competitions and many other activities.

In his remarks, Djarot positively appreciated the event. He also hoped that this event can be carried out continuously in the following years. “Hopefully, this event can be implemented in the next year and followed by more participants,” he said.

Moreover, he also said about the importance of Islamic education in Indonesia, and he expected that Jakarta Islamic Center can be the best center for Islamic dissemination in Jakarta.

“Jakarta Islamic Center is expected to be the best center in spreading the good and peaceful teachings of Islam,” he added.

UIN Jakarta also participate in the event, this is evidenced by the dispersion of several employees from documentation and publication, rectorate, academic affairs, faculties and home affairs section who served as a booth assistant in the event. Furthermore, UIN Jakarta also deliver  a presentation to provide the detailed information related to new student’s admission for 2017/2018 academic year.
