DEMA FIKES holds video editing training

Ciputat, UIN News Online – The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) UIN Jakarta held a Video Editing Training for students on Sunday (09/20/2020) at the MK Tajudin Auditorium, FIKES Building, and through Zoom application.

Head of the FIKES Student Executive Council Rifqi Ridho in his speech hoped that this training could provide a lot of useful knowledge, especially for students. “This training is very important because a health worker must be able to provide education as a health promoter in the form of videos to the public,” he said.

On the same occasion, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs Alumni and Cooperation, Ida Rosyidah in her remarks said that there were many benefits obtained from this video making training. Moreover, according to Ida, data shows that 80% of people in the world are more interested in viewing information through visuals (videos –ed) than reading.

He added that in today's digital era, many people have started looking for information through video content.

“This training can also be used as a place for students to learn and be introduced to various digital media,” she said.

She also informed that in this pandemic condition, students and lecturers were required to carry out lectures with a Distance Learning (PJJ) system by using more advanced communication tools and media.

“We hope that this video making training can become the basis for further developing skills, so that students can move forward through a growing variety of digital media,” she added.

The activity with the theme "Producing Interactive Content Through Storytelling & Video Editing" presented three resource persons who have expertise in the field of digital media, they are Javid Bennabi (Operations Manager for Total Politik & Co-Founder of improvemanagement.id), Ahmad Mumtaz (Founder of Muda Digital) and Fajar (Head Editor of Total Politik).

The three speakers conveyed the basic material of video editing and gave participants the opportunity to practice directly in the video editing process. (usa/annissa/mf)
