Dean of FISIP UIN Jakarta: FISIP UIN Jakarta has a high graduate employment rate

FISIP Building, UIN News Online – The Dean of Social and Political Sciences Faculty UIN Jakarta Alimun Hanif said that FISIP UIN Jakarta has a high graduate employment rate. This is evidenced by the large number of graduates who work in several sectors, be it the state or private sector.

This was said when he attended the Dema Vision 2020 event entitled "Sharing Alumni: Successful Work in Government, Media, and NGOs" which was held by the FISIP Student Council (Dema) virtually, Saturday (10/10/2020). Also present in the event, the Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs Badrus Sholeh and the Chairperson of Dema Adam Anthony.

Ali Munhanif said that this event was viewed very positively, apart from being a gathering place, this event also served as a means to exchange information about the world of work

“Hopefully this event will establish a bridge and network between alumni, faculty, and students, especially in terms of knowledge, experience, and information on the world of work,” he said.

The Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, Badrus Sholeh, also expressed the same thing. He said the forum for gathering alumni, students, and FISIP was quite important to be held.

At least, through this forum, students and alumni not only get to know each other but also strengthen the networking.

On this occasion, a number of alumni who were considered successful in the world of work appeared as speakers to share their experiences. They are Pandu Wibowo (State Civil Service Commission), Ikhsan Dalimunte (CNN Indonesia), Oktanta Tri (Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports), Mutiara Ramadhani (Babe News), Rakhmatullah (Sinar Indonesia), and Susan Sovia (Sukma Bangsa School in Aceh).

Pandu Wibowo, who works as an employee at the State Civil Apparatus Commission, said that FISIP UIN Jakarta alumni have their own charm in the world of work compared to FISIP alumni from other universities. UIN Jakarta alumni also have advantages in mastering theory, application of theory in the form of policy proposals, and in terms of work culture such as discipline, managerial, and leadership.

“Therefore, there are at least three challenges that must be prepared by the students of FISIP UIN Jakarta in the world of work, namely intellectual competition, network competition, and political competition,” said Pandu.

Meanwhile Mutiara Ramadhani, who works at Babe News media, asked students to prepare hard skills, soft skills, networking, and experiences, such as internships at companies or government agencies. It aims to introduce oneself and at the same time show talents and abilities

“So, when we graduate from college, it will be easy for us to find a job,” she said. (usa/ns)
