Dean: FSH Graduates Should Posess Soft Skill

FSH Theater Room UIN NEWS Online - Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) held basic mediation training, on Wednesday-Thursday (3-4/05), taking place in the 2nd floor theater room of FSH, and followed by eighth semester students approximately 450 participants.

The event which was held on the initiation of FSH UIN Jakarta and cooperated with the Religious Courts of the Supreme Court was opened by the Dean of FSH UIN Jakarta Dr Asep Saepudin Jahar.

"Graduates of FSH graduates must have practical legal skills. Your diploma is not enough! Make this training a means of capacity building. In addition, the undergraduate must have a good personality. You should be able to study the Qur'an and become a prayer imam. High GPA is also not the main measure, "said Lecturer and Islamic Law Researcher dropout Mc Gill University of Canada and Leipzig University of Germany.

In the same place, Mesraini said that since the end of 2016, the FSH has prepared several training in legal skills for its students, including Litigation, Legal Drafting, Contract Drafting, Mediation and Fatwa.

"The basic training of mediation is one handled by the laboratory and carried out three times a year," said the head of the FSH Laboratory and Family Law expert.

According to Hidayatulloh MH, Coordinator of Economic Law Laboratory, there are 450 students who enroll training from all courses in FSH. Training is therefore divided into three waves a year. Basic Training Mediation is in great demand because it contains materials for the provision of professionals in the field of law.

"Participants receive some materials such as Introduction to Conflict, Dispute Settlement Form, Mediation Introduction, Mediation Stages, Designing Agreements, Mediation Procedures in Courts, Technical Skills and Mediation Simulations," Hidayatulloh explained.

For your information, this 12 hour Basic Mediation Training presented the speakers, among others, Dr. H Candra Boy Seroza SAg MAg, Ahmad Cholil SH SAg, LLM, and Rahmat Arijaya SAg, MAg.
