Concerning Palestine, UIN Jakarta and the Public Collect More than IDR 50 Million in Two Days

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online- The public, leaders and academicians, and graduates at the 130th Graduation Ceremony of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta managed to collect donations for Palestine worth Rp54,954,997. All funds will be distributed as part of Indonesia's humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people affected by the war conflict over Israeli control.

The official release of UIN Jakarta's Social Trust Fund (STF) humanitarian social institution obtained by UIN News Online, Sunday (26/11/2023), the total funds for Peduli Palestina reached Rp 54,954,997. This figure is obtained from public donations, leaders and academicians, as well as graduates of the 130th Graduation of UIN Jakarta's Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral Programs during the two days of the 130th Graduation, Saturday-Ahad (25-26/11/2023).

On the first day of graduation, the total donation reached Rp33,260,100. While on the second day of graduation, the total donation funds reached Rp21,694,897.

In the donation itself, the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar M.A., Ph.D. delivered a direct invitation to donate in the middle of his speech at the 130th graduation ceremony. In fact, Rector Asep Jahar started the donation directly through the donation service provided by STF UIN Jakarta which is trusted to collect the funds.

Rector Asep Jahar said, the war conflict due to prolonged colonization in Ghaza has caused the shattering of the human values of a nation. The casualties, mostly women and children, have raised the concern of the Indonesian people.

"Therefore, I invite everyone to donate and help ease the burden on our brothers and sisters," he said.

Director of STF UIN Jakarta, Prof. Amelia Fauzia M.A. Ph.D said, the assistance provided by all parties including the Palestine Care donation fund at the 130th Graduation Ceremony of UIN Jakarta is an important part in easing the burden on the affected communities.
