Commemorating the Human Rights Day, AIHCR-FISIP UIN Jakarta Holds Public Discussion

FISIP, UIN News Online – Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of UIN Jakarta, in collaboration with ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AIHCR) holds public discussion, themed “Dialog publik Perayaan Hari HAM Sedunia: Prospek Pemajuan & Perlindungan HAM di ASEAN 2019” on Thursday, (10/13/2018) at Madya Hall of FISIP, campus II of UIN Jakarta.

Moderated by Andina Dwifatma (UNIKA Atma Jaya), this event presents Badrus Sholeh, Ph.D (FISIP UIN Jakarta), Dinna Wisnu, Ph.D (AICHR), Wahyu Suaedy (Wahid Institute), Tolhas Damanik (AGENDA), Wahyu Susilo (Migrant Care) as speakers.

Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of FISIP UIN Jakarta Dzuriyatun Toyibah in her opening remarks expressed her gratitude to the AICHR ASEAN and hoped that the students would gain deeper insight into human rights in ASEAN.

The discussion itself aims to communicate human rights in ASEAN, particularly those carried out by the AICHR, and as a means for human rights stakeholders to voice matters that should be anticipated by the state in the coming year, so that the AICHR can plan the more effective format in promoting the human rights.
