Collaborative International Research and Internship: UIN Jakarta Establishes Partnership with SEGi University Malaysia
Academic Room, UIN Online News — Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta hosted a delegation from Systematic Education Group International (SEGi) University, an educational entity of SEGi Group Malaysia.
The visit, which aims to establish an educational partnership, occurred in the Academic Room on Friday (19/09/2025) and was attended by the Vice Rector for Partnership, Din Wahid, M.A., Ph.D., with representatives from SEGi University.
The visit of SEGi University to UIN Jakarta is a global collaboration intended to bolster the institution's credibility through the enhancement of campus quality and the academic community.
The intention expressed was to engage students in global experiences, such as Community Service (KKN), Field Experience Practice (PPL), and international internships, along with scientific publication.
The Vice Rector for Cooperation, Din Wahid, M.A., Ph.D., asserted that the collaboration will be executed to enhance the campus's quality of education, research, and student experience, while also emphasizing the publication of scientific works that can bolster the campus's credibility.
"I believe that our joint research will be mutually beneficial in every academic field," he expressed.
Prof. Dr. Tezara Cionita asserted that SEGi University exemplifies its prestige as an exemplary private institution in Malaysia, boasting 100,000 alumni globally, 16,000 students across all campuses, over 200 academic programs, and 11 international university partnerships.
In addition to SEGi University, the SEGi Group has campuses located in other regions, both domestically and internationally, including SEGi College Penang, SEGi College Sarawak, SEGi Sibu Clinical Campus, SEGi Regional Center Johor Baru, SEGi College Kuala Lumpur, SEGi College Damansara, and SEGi College Subang Jaya.
SEGi University provides an array of academic programs that facilitate comprehensive exploration of interests and offers a variety of academic degrees, including Architecture, Biomedical Science, Business and Accounting, Creative Communication Design, Dentistry, Education, Engineering, Healthcare, Hospitality and Tourism, Law, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medicine, and Music.
Concluding the visit, the representative of SEGi University commended UIN Jakarta for its environment and quality of education, stating, "This campus is beautiful, expansive, and verdant, and there are numerous programs with potential for collaboration, particularly in medicine, education, and other disciplines."
