Closing IIETE 2026, Thousands of Visitors Crowd UIN Jakarta Booth
Jakarta Convention Center, UIN News Online — The Indonesia International Education and Training Expo (IIETE) 2026 officially concluded after running for four days from 12–15 February 2026 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Central Jakarta. The international-scale education exhibition brought together 65 educational institutions from nine countries, offering information and inspiration for young generations in shaping their academic futures.
UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta stood out as the only State Islamic University (PTKIN) participating in the event, successfully attracting thousands of visitors throughout the exhibition.
Carrying the theme “Innovation, Green, and Humanity,” UIN Jakarta reaffirmed its commitment to providing high-quality Islamic higher education that remains relevant to global developments. Its presence at Booth Hall A55 became a major attraction for prospective students seeking a balance between modern knowledge and Islamic values.
From the first day, the booth was crowded with students from SMA/MA/SMK schools across Greater Jakarta, accompanied by teachers. They actively sought information on study programs, admission pathways, academic systems, and scholarship opportunities. Promotional materials such as brochures, merchandise, and faculty profile videos further increased visitor engagement.
By the second day, visitor demographics became more diverse. In addition to high school students, Islamic boarding school (pesantren) students also visited the booth to explore study programs aligned with their educational background. Interestingly, several UIN Jakarta alumni working as teachers also brought their students and relatives to introduce them to their alma mater.
One visitor, Altaf Yazid Tahmadin, a student from SMA IT Bekasi, shared his reason for visiting the booth.
“I am still confused in choosing a major because there are so many universities in Indonesia. So I came here to explore programs I might be interested in,” he said.
He also expressed curiosity about UIN Jakarta’s faculties.
“I am interested in learning more about the faculties available at UIN Jakarta,” he added.
On the third day, the exhibition became even more interactive, with visitors actively creating content for Instagram and TikTok alongside the Public Relations team. Interest in postgraduate programs also increased, with several prospective master’s students inquiring about study options, admission requirements, and research opportunities at UIN Jakarta.
The enthusiasm peaked on the fourth and final day, Sunday (15/02/2026), when the booth was packed with visitors, many of whom came with clear academic goals and ambitions.
One student, Alia Sabila Siva from SMK Gagapura Merah Putih, expressed her interest in pursuing Medicine at UIN Jakarta.
“I am interested in studying Medicine at UIN because I want to become the first doctor in my family. Since there is none yet, I want to be the first medical professional in my family,” she said.
UIN Jakarta’s participation in IIETE 2026 went beyond exhibition activities. It served as a concrete expression of the university’s commitment to delivering excellent and relevant Islamic higher education.
Through the integration of science and Islamic values, UIN Jakarta continues to strive to produce graduates who are intellectually capable, morally grounded, and ready to face future global challenges.
