Civitas Akademica of STAKN Kupang Comparative Study Visitation to UIN Jakarta

Main Conference Room, NEWS UIN Online - The academic community of State College of Christian Religion (STAKN) of Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, held a comparative study trip to the UIN Jakarta campus. The delegation led by the Executive Chairman of STAKN Drs Zeth Snae was accepted by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof. Dr. Dede Rosyada in the Main Conference Room of Rectorate Building, Wednesday (23/8/2017).

Not only the Rector, the entourage was also received by Vice Rector for Cooperation Affairs Prof. Dr. Murodi, Head of Public Administration and Staffing Bureau Dr Rudi Subiyantoro, Head of Planning and Finance Bureau Drs Subarja MPd, Head of Quality Assurance Department Dr. Sururin, and  several division heads and sub-division heads.

The group consists of 12 people, consisting of leaders, heads of subdivisions and sub-unit heads. After being accepted to the Rector, they then held a closed discussion according to their respective working units.

Rector in his speech expressed his gratitude for the honorary visit from the academic civitas STAKN to UIN Jakarta. He hopes the comparative study program can be put to good use to exchange information.

"We are very grateful to STAKN Kupang who chose UIN Jakarta as a comparative study site," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of STAKN Kupang Zeth said that the visit of the study visit to UIN Jakarta was done because there are still many improvements that must be addressed in various aspects, both in the field of institutional and organization, human resources, and administration. Revamping is also done on the supporting aspects of other academic activities, such as research, libraries, and quality assurance.

"In the near future, our campus is in the process of transferring status from high school to institute. Our campus is new so it needs a lot of learning," he said.

He also hoped that for three days the group to conduct a comparative study to UIN Jakarta can generate new information for the change and development of STAKN in the future.

STAKN Kupang established in 2012 based on Presidential Regulation No. 69 Year 2011. Since its establishment until now, STAKN has at least four majors, namely Department of Religious Education, Church Music Department, Pastoral Counseling, and Teacher Professional Education Department. It also opened the Master's Degree Program (S2) of Christian Education and Doctoral Program (S3) Theology. (usa)
