Chemistry Study Program Strengthens Academic Excellence with Top LAMSAMA Accreditation and "Excellent" Status
Jakarta, UIN Online News — The Chemistry Study Program of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, has earned two prestigious recognitions during the university's Annual Leadership Meeting (Rapat Kerja Pimpinan/Rakerpim) held on Friday (13 February 2026), reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.
The program received the Best Accredited Study Program award under the standards of LAMSAMA (Independent Accreditation Agency for Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences), the national independent accreditation body responsible for evaluating study programs in the fields of natural sciences and formal sciences in Indonesia. In addition, the Chemistry Study Program was awarded the "Excellent" (Unggul) accreditation status, the highest level of accreditation within Indonesia's higher education quality assurance system.
Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Husni Teja Sukmana, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for the achievement, emphasizing that the recognition reflects the collective commitment of the faculty in maintaining high academic standards. He noted that the accomplishment was made possible through the dedication of lecturers, administrative staff, students, and all members of the academic community. "This recognition is the result of the collective efforts and dedication of the entire Chemistry Study Program community. We remain committed to maintaining educational quality that not only meets national standards but is also internationally competitive," he said.
The Chemistry Study Program at FST UIN Jakarta is recognized as one of the university's leading academic programs, focusing on research-based chemical sciences while integrating Islamic values into teaching and learning. The program continuously develops an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum and actively promotes research activities and scientific publications by both faculty members and students at the national and international levels.
