Central library socializes its services in the pandemic period for new students

Central Library Office, UIN News Online – Along with the start of the 2021/2022 academic year, the UIN Jakarta Library Center carried out socialization regarding book utilization services during the Covid-19 pandemic. The socialization will be done virtually on 7-8 September 2021 using the Zoom and Youtube platforms.

“This socialization aims to make new students familiar with the UIN Jakarta Library online service,” said the Head of Central Library Amrullah Hasbana to UIN News Online on Tuesday (09/07/2021).

Amrullah said the socialization event lasted for two days. This is due to the limited capacity of the Zoom Meeting room and the implementation time.

The socialization was filled by a number of resource persons, they were Ahmad Fuadi (author of the novel Negeri 5 Menara and a young entrepreneur), Lilik Istiqoriyah (Library Library Service Coordinator), Ulpah Andayani (Library Technical Service Coordinator), Heriyanto (Library Science Lecturer at Diponegoro University Semarang), and Lolytasari (Head of the Library of the Faculty of Medicine/Faculty of Health Sciences).

Meanwhile, according to Lilik Istiqoriyah, the UIN Jakarta Library currently has a number of book collections and references, both physically and digitally. The printed collection reached 45,231 copies of books and references with 41,721 titles and 600 titles in the form of E-Resources.

“Other collections are in the form of serials and in the form of multimedia audio-video,” she said.

During the pandemic, the library service is open every weekday, Monday-Friday at 09.00-16.00 WIB. Direct services are provided by implementing strict health protocols.

During the pandemic, students can also access services online by visiting the UIN Jakarta Library web page at http://perpus.uinjkt.ac.id. (usa/ns)
