Center for Quranic Studies commemorates the Isra Mi’raj

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Center for Quranic Studies (Puji Taklim Al-Qur’an) of UIN Jakarta held a virtual Isra Mi'raj Commemoration event, Thursday (02/24/2022). The event was filled with a sermon by Ushuluddin Faculty Lecturer KH Ahsin Sakho.

Themed “Memaknai Perjalanan Spritual Nabi Muhammad SAW dalam Peristiwa Isra Mi’raj”, the event was attended by Vice Rector for General Administration Ahmad Rodoni, Chairwoman of the Puji Taklim Al-Qur'an Faizah Ali Sybromalisi, as well as a number of lecturers and educational staff.

The Isra Mi'raj Commemoration event began with the reading of the Khatmul Qur'an by Wiwi Siti Sajarah (Ushuluddin Faculty Lecturer). After that, several remarks were made by the Chairwoman of Puji Taklim Al-Qur'an Faizah Ali Sybromalisi and Vice Rector for General Administration Ahmad Rodoni who represented the rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis who  unable to attend.

Ahmad Rodoni in his speech welcomed the event organized by Puji Taklim Al-Qur'an. He hopes that this activity can increase faith and piety for all academic community of UIN Jakarta.

Rodoni admits that the Isra Mi'raj event has high spiritual values. In this case how the Prophet can meet Allah directly to receive the command to pray (salat -ed).

During the process of the Prophet's journey, especially during Mi'raj, Allah and the angels, including the Agel Jibril, paid respect to the Prophet. This means that the Prophet Muhammad SAW has a high spiritual position that is not shared by other creatures.

Meanwhile, KH Ahsin Sakho in his sermon said, the warning of Isra Mi'raj has many lessons to be learned. One of them is to strengthen faith in Allah and manage mosques so more people will come to pray.

Because with the number of people praying, humans will be born as Allah wants in the Qur'an Surah al-Ahzab verse 35 “For Muslim men and women for believing men and women for devout men and women for true men and women for men and women who are patient and constant for men and women who humble themselves for men and women who give in charity for men and women who fast (and deny themselves) for men and women who guard their chastity and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward.”

“Therefore, there are many lessons from Isra Mi'raj Prophet Muhammad SAW. This incident was not experienced by the previous prophets, except for the Prophet Muhammad SAW,” he said. (ns/usa)
