Celebrating its 22nd anniversary, FDI UIN Jakarta provides Islamic preaching award

FDI, UIN News Online – The Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Sciences (FDI) UIN Jakarta celebrates its 22nd anniversary virtually on Friday (10/01/2021). In celebration of its anniversary, FDI also awarded Anugerah Syiar Islam (Islamic preaching awards) to a number of individuals and institutions who were considered to have excelled in their respective fields. Dean of FDI UIN Jakarta Mohammad Syairozi Dimyathi Ilyas in his remarks said that the 22nd anniversary celebration of FDI was filled with various activities. Among them are international level competitions, public lecture, and the awarding of Islamic preaching awards as the highlight of the celebration. Apart from being an expression of gratitude, this event is expected to strengthen the friendship between the entire academic community, whether students, lecturers, alumni, as well as education staff or employees in order to create a harmonious family environment within the faculty. One of the public figures who received the award was Ustadz Adi Hidayat. The Ustadz, who is now active in providing Islamic studies, received the most votes to receive an award for his capacity as a religious figure who contributes to the education of the people regarding compliance with health protocols and the dangers of a pandemic. The award was also given to Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). This organization was chosen to represent the category of Islamic Institutions and Organizations that contribute to educating the people regarding compliance with health protocols and the dangers of a pandemic as well as maintaining the sustainability of Islamic preach. Furthermore, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan Ph.D was awarded the Islamic preaching award. Anies is considered capable of representing the figure of the Regional Head who contributes to educating the people regarding compliance with health protocols and the dangers of a pandemic as well as maintaining the sustainability of Islamic preach. Lazis NU was also elected to receive the award. Most of the votes from the academic community place this zakat institution as an institution that contributes to the education of the people regarding obeying health protocols and the dangers of a pandemic as well as helping the community during the pandemic. Furthermore, awards were also given for the category of favorite students, lecturers, and employees in 2021. For these three categories, the academic community gave the most votes to Suci Amalia, Daud Lintang, and Saniman. In his remarks, Anies expressed his gratitude for the award he received. According to Anies, this award is an award for all elements of the government and society of DKI Jakarta for collectively overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic. “The award obtained is an award for all those involved in the process, because all actions in the response to Covid-19 are carried out together,” said Anies. Furthermore, Anies also wished a happy birthday to the Faculty of Dirasat Islamiah. Despite being young, at the age of 22, FDI UIN Jakarta has provided a strong foundation for the Indonesian nation by producing great and excellent alumni. For this reason, FDI is expected to continuously improving the quality of its students and lecturers as well as teaching and learning innovation as well as competent prospective graduates with international experience.
