Career Fest 2024: Embracing the Future with FITK UIN Jakarta
FITK Building, UIN Online News - The Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FITK) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta organized a major event called Career Fest 2024 in the west parking area of FITK on Thursday (11/7). The event, aimed at preparing students for the job market, offered various opportunities and valuable experiences.
With over 20 booths available, students could explore various job openings, internship programs, and career consultations. Each booth not only provided information but also offered the chance to interact directly with representatives from partner companies.
Additionally, the event featured fun experiences with various interactive games offering attractive prizes, as well as innovative products that visitors could try out.
Besides the opportunity to find job openings and internships, Career Fest 2024 visitors could participate in a variety of interesting activities for free, such as an exclusive talk show by Jobstreet on job preparation, access to online language and skill enhancement classes by Cakap, and job recommendations from SatuKerja.
"I am very pleased to see the enthusiasm of students participating in this year's Career Fest. I hope this event provides benefits for us as education providers and for our partners as recruiters," said the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Salamah Agung, M.A., Ph.D. The Vice Dean from Cirebon noted that 24 partner companies actively participated and offered attractive career opportunities for prospective graduates from various segments.
One partner, SMA Dwiwarna, showed strong commitment to supporting FITK UIN Jakarta students. Afry Ramadhany, S.Psi., HRD Manager of SMA Dwiwarna, explained that they would open internship opportunities for FITK students, aiming to build long-term relationships. "We are looking for candidates for positions in public relations, HRD, educators (teachers), and dormitory supervisors," he said. Additionally, SMA Dwiwarna actively informed potential job seekers about career opportunities as teachers, especially in leading schools.
They also introduced a special program, Calon Taruna (Catar), aimed at students interested in a military career path. This collaboration is expected to not only provide FITK students with valuable internship experiences but also broaden their career perspectives in education.
On the other hand, Talenthub from the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) also actively participated in Career Fest 2024. Halimah, a representative from Talenthub, highlighted three key points in their participation: "We are here to inform students and alumni about job vacancies, provide training to enhance skills, and partner to organize activities such as workshops and seminars."
The active participation of Talenthub is expected to contribute significantly to preparing FITK UIN Jakarta students to face the increasingly complex job market challenges.
With various opportunities and partnerships offered, Career Fest 2024 succeeded in becoming a comprehensive platform for FITK UIN Jakarta students to build a bright career future. It is hoped that this event will not only improve their job readiness but also expand their network and perspectives in facing an increasingly dynamic industrial era.
