Career Center of UIN Jakarta Refines Tracer Study Approach
Ciputat, UIN News Online – In a continuous effort to enhance alumni tracking and improve graduate employability, UIN Jakarta’s Career Center has announced a system upgrade from S7 to S8 for its 2025 Tracer Study. This initiative aims to gather more accurate data on alumni career transitions, job market readiness, and the real-world application of their academic skills.
To maximize the effectiveness of the Tracer Study, the Career Center’s Data Specialist Team, alongside the Executive Board—led by the Head of Career Center Muhammad Kholis Hamdy, S.Sos.I., Mint.Dev, Tracer Study Coordinator Wahid, M.Si, and Counseling Coordinator Abdul Azis, M.Psi—conducted a series of faculty visits between January 20 and 30, 2025. These visits facilitated discussions with Vice Deans for Student Affairs from various faculties, all of whom expressed strong support for the initiative.
On January 24, 2025, the Faculty of Ushuluddin’s Vice Dean for Student Affairs visited the Career Center to engage in a knowledge-sharing session on Tracer Study implementation. This collaborative effort ensures that each faculty understands the study’s mechanisms and contributes actively to its success.
Further reinforcing this initiative, the Career Center will host a specialized workshop in late February 2025 at Syahida Inn. Designed for Heads of Study Programs across faculties and the Graduate School, the workshop will focus on refining survey questions to better align with faculty-specific needs. Featuring expert speakers in survey methodology, the session aims to enhance the quality and relevance of alumni data.
With this system upgrade, stronger faculty engagement, and a more refined approach to data collection, UIN Jakarta is poised to generate more insightful alumni reports. These improvements will support curriculum development, boost the university’s academic reputation, and better prepare future graduates for career success.
