Career center of UIN Jakarta organizes a virtual job fair

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Career center of UIN Jakarta organizes a virtual job fair which is scheduled to take place on March 29-April 11 2021. By raising the theme on “Brace Yourself for the Future”, this event is officially opened by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis on Monday (03/29/2021).

Present in the event, Vice Rectors, Bureau Chiefs, Deans, as well as a number of students and alumni. Also present in the event, Also present were the Head of the Police Academy - University of Police Science (STIK-PTIK) Yazid Fanani, the Chairperson of the UIN Jakarta Career Center Salamah Agung, the initiator of Virtual Hack National Program Nurhadi Isbath, and company representative Ey Eka Kurniawan.

Rector Amany Lubis in her opening remarks greatly appreciated this virtual Job Fair activity. According to Amany, even though this activity is carried out virtually, this activity can provide information on job vacancies, both to students and alumni.

According to Rector, the increase in student capacity does not only refer to cognitive or reasoning aspects only, it also requires the soft skills. Even the capacity of students must also be strengthened by spiritual values.

“Soft skills, hard skills, and spiritual values must go hand in hand. These three capacities are expected to produce qualified students and alumni, even when they succeed in becoming employees or entrepreneurs,” said Rector Amany.

The Rector also hopes that this activity can provide positive information to students and alumni who want to find job vacancies. Various information on job opportunities or internship programs are also provided, including other information regarding human resource development.

On the same occasion, the Chairperson of UIN Jakarta Career Center Salamah Agung said that this virtual Job Fair activity presents at least 20 companies, around 100 job vacancies or internships, as well as 10 information on educational scholarships, both local and international. Other activities include seminars and career motivation training.

“Hopefully this activity can help UIN Jakarta students and alumni who are currently looking for job vacancies and other career developments,” she hoped. (usa/ns)
