By Joining the Netherlands Knowledge House, UIN Jakarta Bridges Academic, Governmental, and Industrial Forces Across the Dutch-Indonesian Scientific Network

MALANG, UIN Online News – Solidifying its elite position within international research networks UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has officially represented Indonesia's Islamic higher education sector at the 2026 Netherlands Knowledge House (NLKH) Members Meeting from July 15 to July 17 2026. Convened to map out cross-border scientific agendas the multilateral consortium links twenty-five premier knowledge institutions comprising fourteen Dutch research universities and eleven selected Indonesian higher education nodes.

UIN Jakarta stands alongside UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang as the only two State Islamic Universities in Indonesia granted full membership within this strategic global network.

The university delegation was led by the Vice Rector for Cooperation and Institutional Affairs Din Wahid Ph.D. alongside representatives from the International Office. The annual assembly focuses heavily on unifying academic governmental industrial and societal forces under a structural Quadruple Helix framework to generate high-impact solutions for both nations.

"Membership within the Netherlands Knowledge House serves as explicit global validation of UIN Jakarta's academic capacity," Vice Rector Din Wahid stated during the summit. "This platform moves beyond simple diplomatic networking to establish concrete programs covering joint research projects technology innovation faculty-student mobility and community empowerment initiatives that deliver real societal impact."

Vice Rector Wahid emphasized that UIN Jakarta's active integration into NLKH directly advances the university’s broader internationalization roadmap ensuring that Indonesian academic outputs actively contribute to European scientific ecosystems.

The three-day international assembly concluded with a unified commitment among all twenty-five member institutions to execute concrete action plans and collaboration timelines. A primary operational milestone resulting from this meeting includes strategic preparations for the 7th Week of Indonesia–Netherlands Education and Research (WINNER) 2026 alongside incoming research missions that will further cement the historical academic alliance between Indonesia and the Netherlands.
