BPI Students Hold Ramadan Islamic Studies

Pondok Cabe, UIN NEWS Online- As the time for Ashar arrives, the front area of ​​the mosque is filled with children aged 4-10 years. No less than 189 children enthusiastically follow the direction of the mentors in the Islamic Studies of Ramadan (SIR) 2018 with the theme “Aku Bangga Jadi Anak Sholeh   at Al-Ikhlas Grand Mosque Pondok Cabe, Pamulang District, South Tangerang, Wednesday (23/5/2018).

In collaboration with the Teachers Association of Al-Ikhlas Mosque, Student Association of Islamic Guidance and Counseling (HMJ BPI), Faculty of Communication Sciences and Science (FIDIKOM), UIN Jakarta held an activity of SIR which lasted for 8 days.

Chairman of HMJ BPI Ufaira Nabila, explaining SIR activities performed   starting from Sunday, (05/20/2018) - Sunday, (05/27/2018), according to him this activity is a new development program of HMJ BPI, and will become routine activity of HMJ BPI in welcoming holy month of Ramadhan.

"In previous years, the month of Ramadhan we used to fill it with break fasting activities, and mass fajr prayer, and for this year we held a kind of pesantren kilat activity without eliminating the activities of charity, and break fasting with orphans and dhuafa," she said to UIN NEWS Online, Wednesday (05/23/2018).

Ufaira revealed this activity in addition to fulfilling holiday time, also aims to provide motivation and non -formal education to the participants.

"We also provide anti-drug socialization activities that they may rarely get in school," she said.

According to her, SIR activities will be filled several series of events such as, parade, and art performances SIR 2018, pokmaluh, anti-drug education, let's read, motivational training, and mentoring from students and youth.He also hopes this activity goes smoothly without any obstacles.

On the other side, Head of Study Program of BPI UIN Jakarta, Dra. Rini Laili Prihatini MSi, appreciates, and fully supports HMJ BPI, because according to her the activity should teach healthy lifestyle in early childhood, and with the counseling from BNN expected they avoid the influence of drugs.

"Hopefully the knowledge gained from SIR activities is useful, and can make personal brothers better than ever," she concluded. (usa)
