Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta proudly held its second wave of the 137th Graduation Cberemony, celebrating the remarkable achievements of its outstanding graduates from various faculties under the theme “Digital Innovation and Islamic Ethics: Building a Sustainable Civilization in the Era of the Fifth Industrial Revolution” on Sunday (24/08/2025) at the Harun Nasution Auditorium.
This year’s top graduates came from diverse faculties. For the undergraduate program, they are Muhammad Syahid Ridha from the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (Tarjamah) who achieved a GPA of 3.98, followed by Luluk Dwi Masruroh from the Faculty of Ushuluddin (Sufism Studies) with a GPA of 3.95. From the Faculty of Science and Technology, Informatics Engineering student Ahmad Mukhlis Jundullah earned a perfect GPA of 4.00.
For the Master’s program, Gita Safitri from the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (Master of Islamic Culture and History) recorded a GPA of 3.80, while Fajrur Rahman from the Faculty of Ushuluddin (Master of Religious Studies) achieved a GPA of 3.76.
In his remarks, Ahmad Mukhlis urged his fellow graduates to see this moment not as the end of their academic journey, but as the beginning of a broader service to society. He emphasized that UIN graduates possess a unique advantage: the integration of modern knowledge with strong Islamic values, preparing them to become intellectually capable, morally wise, and socially impactful contributors.
“My fellow graduates, as alumni of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, we are uniquely equipped. We are not only armed with modern knowledge but also grounded in firm Islamic values. This is our key asset to face the challenges of our time—becoming a generation that is intellectually sharp, morally wise, and ready to make a meaningful contribution. Let this graduation be the beginning of greater service ahead,” he told.
He also encouraged the ethical use of technology, citing examples such as AI for more transparent zakat distribution, big data for shaping education and healthcare policies, and the Internet of Things (IoT) for health and environmental sustainability.
“The Fifth Industrial Revolution brings forth technologies like AI, Big Data, Blockchain, and IoT—offering both opportunities and challenges. Islamic ethics serve as the foundation to ensure that digital innovation benefits rather than threatens us. UIN Jakarta has exemplified this through its Green Campus initiatives, including eco-friendly electric buses and bicycles, in line with the message of Al-A’raf:56 to preserve nature,” he added.
