Another International Achievement! UIN Jakarta Wins QS WUR By Subject 2025 Award

Jakarta, UIN Online News - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has attained notable recognition by obtaining an accolade in the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (QS WUR) by Subject 2025 for Theology, Divinity, and Religious Studies.

UIN Jakarta attained a worldwide rating in the 101-150 range, therefore reinforcing its status as a prominent State Islamic Religious University (PTKIN) in the domain of religious studies.

The distinction was revealed in a formal ceremony on Thursday (20/3/2025) in Jakarta. The event was graced by the presence of the Minister of Higher Education in Science and Technology, Prof. Brian Yuliarto, Ph.D.; the Deputy Minister, Prof. Dr. Fauzan, M.Ed.; the Secretary General of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Prof. Ir. Togar M. Simatupang, Ph.D.; and the Director General of Higher Education in Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Khairul Munadi, M.Eng.

Prof. Asep Saepudin, Ph.D., the Rector of UIN Jakarta, conveyed his appreciation and delight over this accomplishment. He asserted that this honor serves as tangible proof of UIN Jakarta's ongoing development and its recognition as a premier Islamic higher education institution on the global stage.

Asep underscored that the accolade is also a testament to the dedication and relentless efforts of the academic community at UIN Jakarta, which consistently enhance the quality of education, research, and community service.

"This accomplishment demonstrates that UIN Jakarta plays a role in tackling various global challenges. With diverse international institutions beginning to join, UIN Jakarta is going to play competitively in the world of academia," he closed.

Apart from UIN Jakarta, 17 institutions and universities were also distinguished with the same award by the Ministry of Higher Education in Science and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikti RI).
