Airlangga Hartanto expects the alumni of UIN Jakarta to play an active role toward the vision of golden Indonesia

Main Auditiorium, UIN News Online – Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Econmomic Airlangga Hartanto expects the alumni of UIN Jakarta to play an active role toward the vision of golden Indinesia. With their scientific and Islamic capacities, UIN Jakarta alumni can play an important role for the success of this vision.

This was said by Airlangga in his speech during the inauguration ceremony of the UIN Alumni Association (IKALUIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Saturday (05/22/2021). According to Airlangga, the role of higher education institutions such as UIN Jakarta will play an important role in raising the achievements of the nation's progress.

“UIN Jakarta and IKALUIN as intellectual communities are expected to continue to contribute in preparing professionals in a broad spectrum of expertise to improve national economic progress,” said Airlangga.

He continued, the active role of UIN Jakarta alumni in national development based on their respective professional roles could create an independent nation.

Furthermore, he also hopes that the community and alumni of UIN Jakarta will take an active role in breaking the chain of Covid-19 transmission and supporting national economic recovery.

“Alhamdulillah, we are moving towards a positive direction. The daily trend of new cases nationwide continues to decline. The percentage of active cases of recovery is also getting better,” he said. (usa/zm)
