Academic Excellence Strengthened as UIN Jakarta's Master's Program in Psychology Earns "Excellent" Accreditation
Ciputat, UIN Online News — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has achieved another significant academic milestone as its Master's Program (M.Psych.) in Psychology was awarded the "Excellent" (Unggul) accreditation by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). The accreditation was granted under Decree No. 6378/SK/BAN-PT/Ak/M/IV/2026 and will remain valid until 21 April 2031.
Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., welcomed the achievement, describing it as part of the university's continuous efforts to strengthen academic quality and enhance its global standing.
"This Excellent accreditation demonstrates that our academic quality continues to improve. It also reflects UIN Jakarta's commitment to strengthening the integration of knowledge and encouraging our academic programs to compete at the international level," he said.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, M.A., M.H., also congratulated the program on its accomplishment.
"Congratulations to the Master's Program in Psychology for achieving Excellent accreditation," he stated.
He expressed hope that the recognition would further establish the program as a center of excellence in psychological science while producing graduates who are highly competent, adaptable, and globally competitive.
Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Dr. Yunita Faela Nisa, M.Psi., Psikolog, expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the achievement.

My sincere appreciation goes to the Rector, the Vice Rectors, the Bureau Heads, the Heads of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) and the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M), fellow deans, and the Director of the School of Graduate Studies. May this achievement further strengthen UIN Jakarta in producing high-quality graduates and bring lasting benefits to society," she remarked.
The Excellent (Unggul) accreditation represents the highest level of quality assurance in Indonesia's higher education system. It is awarded to academic programs and higher education institutions that meet the highest national quality standards, achieve a minimum score of 361, and satisfy all accreditation requirements established by BAN-PT.
The Master's Program in Psychology at UIN Jakarta offers advanced education that integrates contemporary psychological science with Islamic values, with a strong emphasis on research and the development of psychological knowledge. The program is designed to be completed within four semesters under the standard study period.
The program is currently led by an experienced academic team, including Dr. Natris Indriyani, Psikolog, as Head of the Master's Program, Dr. Layyinah, M.Si., as Secretary of the Program, and Dr. Solicha, M.Si., as Coordinator of the Faculty of Psychology's Quality Assurance Unit.
