A total of 38 UIN Jakarta Journals Accredited by SINTA
Rectorate, UIN News Online – A number of journals at UIN Jakarta have succeeded in increasing their respective accreditation status. In addition to new accreditations, some of them have been promoted through the re-accreditation process. Therefore, the total journals of UIN Jakarta accredited by SINTA have reached 38 journals.
The increase in the ranking of various journals was conveyed by the uin Jakarta’s Rumah Jurnal Administrator Yazid Hady to UIN News Online on Friday (01/21/2022).
According to Yazid, the increase is divided into two categories, namely through the application of new accreditation from previously not accredited to SINTA and an increase through the reaccreditation process so that it increases from the old rank to a new, higher rank.
The first category was achieved by the Journal of Applied Information Systems and Management (AISM) from the Faculty of Science and Technology, which managed to obtain SINTA 3.
Two journals from the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Science (FST) UIN Jakarta also won SINTA accreditation from new submissions. The two are Jurnal Studi Jurnalistik and Jurnal Kajian Dakwah dan Kemasyarakatan. Both journals managed to obtain a Sinta 5 rating
Meanwhile, two other journals have succeeded in increasing their accreditation status. The two journals are the ETIKONOMI Journal from the Faculty of Economics and Business and the AHKAM Journal from the Faculty of Sharia and Law. Two of them have moved up the ranks from SINTA 2 to SINTA 1.
Therefore, with the existence of four new journals that have been successfully accredited by SINTA, the total journals of UIN Jakarta that have been accredited by SINTA have reached 38 journals. Previously, the data from the Puslitpen UIN Jakarta noted that there were 34 journals published by UIN Jakarta with 1-6 SINTA ratings.
For the SINTA 1 category, there are STUDIA ISLAMIKA, AHKAM Journal, and ETIKONOMY Economic Science Journal. The three are the leading journals of UIN Jakarta in the fields of Southeast Asian Islamic studies, sharia, and economics.
Furthermore, the SINTA 2 category has 14 journals. Among them are Al-Iqtishad, Signifikan, TARBIYA, EDUSAINS, Arabiyat, Arabi, Indonesian Journal of English Education (IJEE), Insaniyat, Al-Turas, Jurnal Cita Hukum, Jurnal Kimia Valensi, Al-Kauniyah, Jurnal Pengukuran Psikologi dan Pendidikan Indonesia, and Ilmu Ushuluddin.
In the SINTA 3 category, there are eight journals. Among them are Sosio Didaktika, Esensi, Journal of Qur’an and Hadith Studies, Jurnal Teknik Informatika, Refleksi, Empati, Indonesian Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics, and Dialektika.
Meanwhile, the SINTA 4 journal category consists of five journals, namely Akuntabilitas, Jurnal Harkat, JURNAL INDO-ISLAMIKA, Ushuluna, Jurnal Salam, Al-Fiziya. Journals with SINTA 5 consist of Jurnal Al-Zahra and Jurnal TAZKIYA, while Journals with SINTA 6 are listed by Agribusines Journal.
Separately, the Head of Puslitpen of UIN Jakarta Imam Subchi revealed that Puslitpen will continues to encourage other journals to immediately apply for accreditation. One of them is Jurnal Mimbar Agama dan Budaya. In fact, Puslitpen also encourages this journal to become a reputable international journal indexed by Scopus.
In addition to journal accreditation, UIN Jakarta also encourages the publication of new journals in the study program environment. “Therefore, Puslitpen will continue to provide periodic training for journal administrators,” he said. (zm/usa)
