81 Students of STAI Denpasar Visit UIN Jakarta
Rectorate, UIN News Online – As many as 81 students of the Islamic Higher Education Institute (STAI) Denpasar, Bali, visited the UIN Jakarta campus. The group visit was carried out as part of the practical assignment of Fieldwork Lectures (KKL) at several campuses outside Bali.
The Head of STAI Denpasar, Jumari, said KKL students came from three study programs, namely Islamic Economics, Islamic Education Management, and Islamic Religious Education. They are tasked with visiting several campuses outside Bali. Their visit is expected to increase their insight, knowledge, and experience.
“In addition to UIN Jakarta, KKL visits will also be carried out on the PTIQ Jakarta and UIN Bandung,” he said.
He also hopes that in the future some of his students will be able to continue their master's and doctoral education at UIN Jakarta, including for lecturers who have not yet held a doctorate degree.
“In the future, we even hope that STAI Denpasar will not only be able to establish cooperation, but also become a campus under the guidance of UIN Jakarta,” said Jumari.
On the same occasion, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Institutional Development of UIN Jakarta Lily Surayya Eka Putri in her remarks said, UIN Jakarta through PPM currently has several community service programs for students, such as, Regular KKN, KKN Internasional, in-Campus KKN, and KKN Kebangsaan.
The program was held in semester VI and was attended by almost all faculties. There are two faculties of which do not hold KKN, such as the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences.
“The fieldwork of students from the two faculties is only in the form of practice at the nearest hospital and community health center,” said Lily.
In addition to this program, Lily explained, UIN Jakarta is also committed to realizing environmental ethics through the "Green Campus" program. The program continues to be promoted and socialized in order to create a healthy and clean campus environment.
The program also supports the United Nations goals as outlined through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program in 2030.
