75 Percent of Budget Must Be Absorbed in the Second Quarter

Bogor, UIN News Online – A minimum of 75 percent of the budget for UIN Jakarta in 2022 must be absorbed in the second quarter or the end of July 2022. Therefore, all forms of academic and non-academic activities must be implemented as soon as possible.

This was said by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis in her speech at the closing ceremony   of Rakerpim UIN Jakarta on Wednesday (03/09/2022) held at Cisarua, Bogor, West Java. “I received information that our budget must be absorbed in the second quarter or the end of July 2022,” said Rector.

According to the Chancellor, this information was known from the Circular Letter of the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs. The letter, which was issued on February 24, requested that all PTKIN have to absorb a minimum of 75 percent of their respective budgets in the second quarter.

“I apologize if I announce this latest news at the closing of the Rakerpim. This information really confuses us all,” said Rector.

Initially, UIN Jakarta's budget absorption was delayed until the end of August 2022. However, with a change in schedule until July 2022, all UIN Jakarta programs had to be rushed.

Therefore, the Chancellor requested that academic activities such as international conferences and non-academic activities such as printing and other procurements be carried out as soon as possible.

According to the Rector, based on the report from the Planning and Finance Bureau, UIN Jakarta's budget absorption for the last three months (January-early March) 2022 has only reached 10 percent.

“In three months it should have reached 40 percent, so by the end of July, the 75 percent target will be met,” she said.

The Rector assumed that the budget absorption of 40 percent in these three months will definitely be achieved. This is considering that many work units have implemented their work programs but the reports have not yet been submitted to the finance department.

For Information, the closing ceremony ended with the signing of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) by each head of the work unit, starting from the vice chancellor to structural institutions. After that, the 2022 Budget Plan (RAB) was handed over to each unit at UIN Jakarta. (ns/usa)
