72 New Doctors of UIN Jakarta Take the Oath at Harun Nasution Auditorium

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN News Online - The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has once again made history by graduating 72 new doctors in the 50th doctor's oath-taking ceremony held at the Harun Nasution Auditorium, Wednesday (10/23/2024).

The solemn event began with a hadroh performance, followed by the entry of prospective doctors and leaders into the room. Then, the event continued with singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya, the UIN Hymn, and the FK Mars, as well as a performance of the Rampak Dance by FK students.

The Chancellor of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., in his remarks emphasized that the medical profession is not just about seeking material things, but also about reviving and maintaining human values with full sincerity. He also encouraged new doctors to continue their specialist education and develop their careers in academics.

The General Chairperson of the Indonesian Doctors Association (PB IDI), Dr. dr. Muhammad Adib Khumaidi, Sp.OT., said that the momentum of the doctor's oath is a moral commitment that must be upheld. "Don't be an individualistic and pragmatic doctor, but be a doctor who is always part of a community," he said.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine UIN Jakarta, Dr. dr. Achmad Zaki, Sp. OT. M.Epid, FICS, hopes that the new doctors can serve all over the archipelago. "The best people are those who are useful to other humans," he said before leading the oath-taking process.

During the event, various proud achievements from the new doctors were also announced. It was noted that dr. Alfani Naqiya Shidqiyah received the highest score in the CBT UKMPPD FK UIN batch August 2024, and dr. Irena Amalia received the highest score in the OSCE UKMPPD FK UIN batch August 2024.

Vice Dean 3 for Student Affairs, drg. Laifa Annisa Hendarmin, Ph.D., announced a number of outstanding doctors in academics, scientific publications, and other achievements. In total, there are 22 new doctors who have recorded proud achievements during their studies.

The representative of the new doctors, dr. Amril Nur Ismail, in his speech emphasized that the doctor's oath is a great mandate that must be carried out with full responsibility. Meanwhile, Dr. H. M Riban Satia, S.Sos, M.Si, as the representative of the parents, expressed his gratitude to the institution for the guidance that has been given.

The event was closed with the symbolic pinning of the IDOMAIN (Association of Muslim Doctors Alumni of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta) pin and the handover of souvenirs from the oath participants to the faculty. Then the closing prayer was led by dr. Muhammad Iqra Abdulhafizh Adnan.

The procession of taking the doctor's oath marked the beginning of a new journey for 72 doctors who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine UIN Jakarta in serving the community and practicing medical science in accordance with Islamic and humanitarian values.
