700 PPG Participants will undergo a Teaching Practice Tests

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – Participants in the 2018 Teacher Professional Education (PPG) program will undergo a competency test or teaching practice tests in a number of madrasas in the Jabodetabek and South Tangerang regions. They will teach in partner madrasas, such as madrasa ibtidaiyah (MI), madrasa tsanawiyah (MTs), and madrasa aliyah (MA).

This was stated by UIN Jakarta’s Deputy Dean of General Administration, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) Ahmad Sofyan in the Public Lecture and PPL Participants debriefing event, held at the Harun Nasution Auditorium Auditorium, Campus I of UIN Jakarta, Friday (2/15/2019).

Sofyan also expects that the participants can prepare themselves as well as possible, for example by making plans, methods and learning tools that will be used. “Hopefully, all of you will get satisfying results,” said Sofyan.

The teaching practice activities in partner madrasas will last for about three weeks, starting on February 18 to March 9, 2019. They are divided into several groups and accompanied by a lecturer. During their stay at partner madrasas, they will be assessed by a pamong teacher.

PPG participants consists of religion educators in the madrassas, they teacg Koran-Hadith, Morals, Islamic History and Civilization, Fiqh, and Arabic. They come from several regions in Indonesia and selected by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia. The PPG program is held by the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) UIN Jakarta as one of the Educational Institutions in Indonesia. (usa)
