6 Students of UIN Jakarta Wins the Outstanding Mahasantri Award

Rectorate, UIN News Online – 6 students of UIN Jakarta receives the Outstanding Mahasantri Awards at the Sulaimaniyah Islamic Boarding School (Pesma), Ciputat, South Tangerang. The award was handed over by the Head of the Education Sector of Pesma Sulaimaniyah, Abi Anas Muda, in Ciputat on March 3, 2022.

Based on the press release of Pesma Sulaimaniyah received by BERITA UIN Online, Thursday (03/09/2022), this award is a program to appreciate students studying at Pesma Sulaimaniyah. This program is carried out every semester based on the academic achievement index of the students.

“In the odd semester yesterday, there were 20 students who won this award, six of them were UIN Jakarta students from various majors,” said the caretaker of Pesma Sulaimaniyah Ciputat Abi Sholihun Mus Mulyadi.

The students who received the award are; Iskandar (Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology), Muhammad Amrun Hadi (Study Program in Al-Qur'an and Tafsir, Faculty of Ushuluddin), Muqtadir Choir Bakri and Mohammad Fawwaz Khitman Romadloni (Family Law Study Program, Faculty of Sharia and Law), Salman Rizqan Karima (Arabic Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training), and Achmad Maulana Dzaky (International Relations Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences).

For information, Pesma Sulaimaniyah Ciputat is a boarding school under the supervision of the Sulaimaniyah Foundation based in Istanbul, Turkey. The Islamic boarding school has 24 branches in 170 countries with different operations, including the Sulaimaniyah Student Islamic Boarding School, Tahfidz Sulaimaniyah Islamic Boarding School, and Fazilet Publisher.

“Santri who have completed their bachelor's degree are given option to take a scholarship for religious studies at the Sulaimaniyah center in Turkey. They get educational scholarships and living expenses while studying, except for departure tickets,” said said one of the award recipients, Achmad Maulana Dzaky. (ns/ts/usa)
