4 Study Programs in UIN Jakarta's Faculties Obtain Excellent Accreditation
Rectorate Building, UIN Online News - UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has once again achieved remarkable success with the addition of bachelor's programs from several faculties that received Excellent accreditation: Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BPI) from Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, Law Governance (Siyasah) and Family Law (Ahwal Syakhsiyyah) from Faculty of Sharia and Law, and International Relations from Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
According to UIN News Online report on Monday (17/2/2025), 4 study programs in 3 faculties have been officially accredited as excellent by the the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN PT) listed in the BAN PT Chairman's Letter (SK) which can be checked via https://www.banpt.or.id/en :
- SK Number 249/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/II/2025 for Islamic Guidance and Counseling program at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences is valid until December 28, 2027.
- SK Number 252/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/II/2025 for Law Governance (Siyasah) program at the Faculty of Sharia and Law is valid until September 3, 2026.
- SK Number 254/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/II/2025 for Family Law (Ahwal Syakhsiyah) program at the Faculty of Sharia and Law is valid until October 21, 2026.
- SK Number 253/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/II/2025 for International Relations program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences is valid until January 27, 2027
"Alhamdulillah, our faculty has another excellent program and I sincerely appreciate the dedication from all the students and lecturers,” Dr. Gun Gun Heryanto, Dean of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, expressed his proud at the attainment of excellent accreditation for the Islamic Counseling and Guidance program.
It is known that several programs at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences have previously received excellent accreditation since 2024 by BAN PT: Islamic Broadcasting Communication (SK Number 804/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/III/2024), Da'wah Management (SK Number 787/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/III/2024), and Islamic Community Development (SK Number 6346/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/X/2024).
"Our faculty offers eight academic programs, of which six have received Excellent accreditation while two are undergoing re-accreditation process. I believe the remaining will achieve that status soon," Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum, the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, conveyed his joy and optimism towards its future succces.
In addition, FSH also has 4 programs in both bachelor's and master's programs rated as excellent: Bachelor of Islamic Economic Law (Mu'amalah) (SK Number 5464/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/VIII/2024), Islamic Criminal Law (SK Number 3229/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.Ppj/S/VIII/2023), Comparative Maddhab (SK Number 4057/SK/BAN-PT/Ak/S/X/2023); and Master of Law Economics Sharia (SK Number 5462/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/M/VIII/2024).
Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Prof. Dr. Dzuriyatun Thoyibah, similarly expressed admiration towards Excellent accreditation of 2 Programs at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences: Political Science (SK Number 6733/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/XI/2024), and Sociology (SK Number 6714/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/XI/2024).
"The acquisition of this accreditation is concrete evidence of UIN Jakarta's dedication to improve educational quality and exemplary academic governance. This achievement will keep us to persist in advancing optimal academic standards for the public and the nation," Prof. Dr. Asep Saepudin Jahar, Rector of UIN Jakarta, conveyed his admiration for the accomplishments.
"This accomplishment enhances the array of exceptional programs at UIN Jakarta and motivates other faculties to persist in elevating quality and competitiveness on both national and international scales," He concluded that this achievement is based on joint cooperation, thanks to the diligent efforts of all stakeholders, professors, educational personnel, students, and alumni of UIN Jakarta.
