2024 FST UIN Jakarta Flagship Product Dissemination: Innovation for the Future, Sustainable Solutions
UIN Jakarta, UIN News Online - UIN Jakarta's Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) held a Featured Innovation Product Dissemination at the FST 2nd floor theater on (4/11/2024). This event is a forum to introduce the latest innovations from the FST research team. The event was attended by various related parties, including lecturers, laboratory assistants, and the academic community of UIN Jakarta.
Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Husni Teja Sukmana, S.T., M.Sc, Ph.D appreciated the achievement of innovations that have been developed by the FST research team. “We can market this product to companies so that it can benefit others and have a positive impact on the Faculty of Science and Technology,” he said hopefully.
In this dissemination event, a number of excellent innovation products were displayed which were divided into several clusters, including the Smart Urban Farming cluster which featured Smart Urban Farming Kits Ver 1.0. Then, the Islam and Digital Transformation cluster introduced several digital innovations, namely IndQNER 2.0: a dataset for name recognition in Indonesian, Religious Big Data: AI-based Big Data technology that supports religious moderation in Indonesia, and Green AI: Big Data solutions that save education costs. The Waste and Renewable Energy cluster featured patented products, and the Halal and Food cluster presented halal food innovations, including Agrichem Honey, Beeyoughurt, Non Soya Tempeh, and Telang Tea.
With one of the highlights being the Waste and Renewable Energy cluster. The team from this cluster introduced the Eco Enzym innovation made from organic waste, especially fruit peels. Eco Enzym is an eco-friendly product because it is produced without the use of chemicals, making it an environmentally safe product.
In addition to Eco Enzym, the Waste and Renewable Energy team also developed household products, such as liquid soap that can serve as hand soap, dish soap, and floor cleaning liquid that can be used in the campus environment. “We have conducted laboratory tests, and the results show that our product is able to eliminate almost 95% of microbes on the hands,” explained one of the team representatives.
Furthermore, they also explained the marketing plan, with the hope that this product can be distributed within the UIN Jakarta academic community and through e-commerce platforms to reach more users.
This event is expected to enrich the insight and knowledge of UIN Jakarta academic community in the field of science and technology innovation, especially those that focus on sustainable solutions, digitalization, and halal food.
