2019, UIN Jakarta has 38 "A" accredited study programs

Ciputat, UIN News Online – Until the end of 2019, UIN Jakarta has 38 "A" accredited study programs at the under graduate and graduate programs. In the same period, 30 undergraduate and master degree study programs also recorded the acquisition of accreditation “B”. The rest, 9 study programs have various accreditations, ranging from accreditation "C" or in the middle of re-accreditation process.

Based on the National Accreditation for Higher Education (BAN PT), Friday (03/01/2020), UIN Jakarta is one of the 7 State Islamic Universities which has an "A" institutional accreditation.

The study program accreditation directory records that the 38 “A” accredited study programs were contributed by 33 study programs at the undergraduate level, 4 master’s programs, and 1 doctoral program. Furthermore, the acquisition of accreditation “B” was contributed by 20 undergraduate study programs and 10 master’s programs. Meanwhile, C-accredited study programs were contributed by 1 undergraduate study program and 2 master’s programs. However, the two study programs have proposed re-accreditation on 22 May 2019 and 17 August 2019 and are awaiting visitation from BAN PT assessors.

The Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis in the 114th graduation speech at UIN Jakarta, Sunday (12/01/2019) revealed that improving the accreditation status of study programs was one of UIN Jakarta’s commitments in guaranteeing its academic quality.

“In addition, UIN Jakarta also encourages regional-international accreditation certification such as AUN QA and Islamic QA. This is needed so that the academic quality of UIN Jakarta UIN Jakarta becomes more competitive than other regional-global higher institutions,” said Rector. (usa/zm)
