2 Students of FAH UIN Jakarta Wins TikTok and KTI Competition in Southeast Asia
Rectorate, UIN News Online – Two students from the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) UIN Jakarta came out as champions in Southeast Asia in the TikTok and Scientific Writing (KTI) competition organized by the Central Executive Ittihadu Thalabati al-Lughah al-Arabiyah bi Indonesia (ITHLA) or the Arabic Language Student Association in Indonesia.
Based on a press release from FAH received by BERITA UIN Online, Friday (04/01/2022), the competition was held in the framework of the ITHLA Leadership Meeting (Rapim) which took place at the Ministry of Manpower's Education and Training Center for Human Resource Development, Matraman, East Jakarta, on March 19-21, 2022.
The two students who took part in the competition were Raihan Surya Saputra (student of Arabic Language and Literature Study Program) and Rizky Saputra, student of Tarjamah study program. Raihan won second place in TikTok video content with the theme "Budaya Arab di Indonesia", while Rizky won second place in the KTI competition with the theme "Bahasa Arab di Indonesia".
The competition was conducted online and was attended by a number of student representatives from 119 universities throughout Southeast Asia. Among them are from Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
Meanwhile, the ITHLA Rapim with the theme “Khidmah Bahasa Arab Untuk Indonesia” was held in a hybrid manner. The Rapim was attended by Arabic students from various universities in Indonesia, including UIN Jakarta.
One of Rapim's agenda is to discuss important issues regarding the development of the Arabic language in Indonesia. Another agenda is in the context of internal consolidation of the ITHLA organization towards an advanced and modern Arabic language student union organization. (usa/ns)
