2.753 UIN Students are Ready to Do Community Service

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN NEWS Online-- 2.753 UIN Jakarta Students are prepared to do Community Service Program (KKN 2016). In this program, they will be sent to several villages in Bogor, Tangerang, and South Tangerang City. This event will take place in August 2016.

According to what the head of Community Service Center (PPM) UIN Jakarta, Djaka Badranaya ME, said during KKN-PPM 2016 briefing, Wednesday (13/04). “They are ready to do community service in several region which needs students’ participation,” he said.

According to PPM’s record, all 2.753 students would carry out the community service program in two main format, which are Regular KKN and Nationalism KKN. The first one is a regular community service which would be held in several location appointed by PPM, while the second one, Nationalism KKN, would be held in Riau and Natuna with other participant from universities all over the nation.

PPM staff, Muhammad Syarif Nasution, explained that from 2.753 students, 20 students would be chosen to participate in Nationalism KKN. Meanwhile the other 2533 would participate in the regular KKN which would be divided into 250 groups. With 130 groups placed in Bogor, 100 groups in Tangerang, and 20 groups placed in South Tangerang City.

Placement system for the participant is different this year comparing to the previous years, Syarif added. If the previous program based on the villages, then this year is based on the region itself. Which means, the more point there is in the region, then more group would be placed. “So that’s why, if the point on the village, it is possible to place 4 or 5 group in the area,” Syarif said.
