137th Graduation Ceremony: UIN Jakarta's Top Graduates as the Agent of Change
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially inaugurated 2,900 graduates at its 137th Graduation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 Academic Year, covering Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs. The graduation ceremony took place at the Harun Nasution Auditorium on Saturday (August 23, 2025).
Of the total, 685 officially graduated on Saturday (August 23, 2025). They came from the Graduate School (37), the Faculty of Islamic Education and Teacher Training (590), and the Faculty of Psychology (58).
At the Postgraduate level, the top graduate is Abdul Wahid Watoni from the Master's Program, with a GPA of 3.80, graduating cum laude. Followed by Nur Asiah Shihah Tomfi from the Islamic Education Management Master's Program, Faculty of Islamic Education and Teacher Training, with a GPA of 3.88 cum laude, and Salwa Alvina Siregar from the Psychology Master's Program, with a GPA of 3.92 cum laude.
Meanwhile, at the undergraduate level, Kinanti Adlina Putri from the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGMI) Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Education and Teacher Training, received the title of best graduate with a GPA of 3.98 cum laude. From the Faculty of Psychology, a similar distinction is achieved by Salsabila Miranti Putri from the Psychology Study Program, with a GPA of 3.96 cum laude.
Furthermore, a special award for best thesis in the field of humanities and Islamic studies was given to Friski Hokiani from the Faculty of Islamic Education and Teacher Training. She wrote a thesis "Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Problem Posing Berbantuan Komedi atau Komik Matematika Digital terhadap Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Materi Pecahan Siswa Kelas 5 MI Asaadatud Daroin 1".
As a student representative, Kinanti Adlina Putri, one of the top graduates from the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, emphasized that today's achievements were not easy, but rather the result of sacrifice, struggle, and perseverance during her studies at UIN Jakarta.
"I would like to express my deepest appreciation and congratulations to the 137th graduates of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Although we have struggled far from our families along the way, some study while working, and some even live modestly to maintain our studies. Just remember that you are special," she told.
Concluding her remarks, she encouraged all graduates to continue working after earning their academic degrees and emphasized that a graduate's responsibility extends not only to themselves but also to society, the nation, and their religion.
"Let's continue our journey, uphold our good name, and demonstrate that we are not just scholars but also agents of change for society, the nation, and religion," she closed.
