134th Graduation Senate Session of UIN Jakarta: 744 Graduates in the Second Session of the First Day from Three Faculties Ready to Contribute to a Progressive Indonesia

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN News Online - The 134th Senate Session of Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral Graduation of UIN Jakarta held at Harun Nasution Auditorium took place solemnly. With the theme “Realization of a Competitive Generation towards Advanced Indonesia” which is a reflection of the goal towards the golden Indonesia 2045. The 2nd session graduation on the first day was attended by 744 graduates from the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Faculty of Economics and Business, and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences today Saturday, (23/11/2024) out of 2219 total graduates of the 134th session.

Secretary of the Senate, Prof. Dr. Masri Mansoer, M.Ag, officially opened the open Senate Session. On this occasion Prof. Masri said that the theme of the graduation this time was a reflection of the hopes and responsibilities of the graduates for the future of the nation. According to him, a competitive environment both in the academic field, career and various other aspects of life can produce a superior generation. In addition, he also expressed his hope that the graduates would be able to become a generation with good reputation in academics, ethics and superior values in an increasingly complex world. “Your involvement in the environment encourages progress in a positive direction that can improve skills in achieving goals,” he said.

Then, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Alimun Hanif, MA, PhD, in reading the 134th rector's decree announced the best graduates from various faculties in the Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral programs. This award is a form of appreciation to the graduates for their persistence in pursuing education and achieving academic and non-academic achievements during the study period. In addition, this award is also expected to be a motivation for other students to continue to strive to achieve the best results in their academic journey.

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie, S.Ag, S.H., M.H., M.A., represented the speech of the Rector of UIN Jakarta, he conveyed the great responsibility of the academic degree achieved by the graduates. UIN Jakarta graduates are intellectuals and scholars, therefore they must prepare control armed with their identity and competence. “On your shoulders rests the big name of UIN Jakarta, then at the tip of your pen the power of UIN Jakarta is fully engraved,” he said.

Taufiqul hakim, the best graduate from the Faculty of Ushuluddin representing all graduates expressed his gratitude to UIN Jakarta 11 for bringing him to this point. Emotionally he conveyed how tough the struggle of the graduates to develop themselves and achieve various achievements to this point in addition to the various obstacles that exist. For him, a rational soul becomes the principle of a person's becoming both the direction and form of his behavior. “If the soul is good, the behavior is constructive, if the soul is bad, it is constructive,” he concluded.

It is known that the 134th graduation ceremony was held in 2 sessions for four days. The 2nd session of the 2nd day will be continued tomorrow.
