132,000 prospective students will participate in the UM-PTKIN
Rectorate, UIN News Online – Around 132,000 participants will take part in the Admission for State Islamic Higher Education (UM-PTKIN). Selection will be made online using a special application. In addition, the selection also considers the participants report card in the first three semesters.
“Participants will fill out questions at their homes using computer-based applications,” said Haris Setiaji, the coordinator of the UM-PTKIN Examination Center.
According to Haris, UM-PTKIN participants came from various regions in Indonesia. They chose PTKIN (UIN / IAIN / STAIN) according to their respective interests and spread in 1,197 study programs offered. UM-PTKIN participants were participated by 58 PTKIN plus the Faculty of Religion, Singaperbangsa University, Karawang, West Java.
Participants will simultaneously participate in the selection on August 3-6 2020 for three sessions per day. The test material consists of Natural Sciences (IPA), Social Sciences (IPS), and Basic Ability Tests (TKD).
Based on the location of participants, there are three regions that have the highest number of registrants. The three cities / regencies are Palembang City, South Sumatra, 2,151 participants, Tulung Agung Regency, East Java (1,976 participants), and Jember Regency, East Java (1786 participants).
Based on the most popular study programs, consisting of Islamic Economic Law (UIN Aceh), Islamic Economics (UIN Surabaya), Pharmacy (UIN Makassar), Syariah Financial Management (UIN Bandung), and Islamic Religious Education (UIN Yogyakarta).
The total quota provided nationally is 73,770 seats, and UIN Jakarta offers 30 study programs with a total quota of 1,338 seats. (usa/ns)
