1000 people participate in the IKALUIN Jakarta free vaccine event

FK Building, UIN News Online – 1000 family members of the academic community of UIN Jakarta participated in free vaccine activities at the Faculty of Medicine (FK) and Faculty of Health Sciences (Fikes) UIN Jakarta, Thursday (07/22/2021). The vaccination program is expected to support the national program to strengthen the herd immunity of the Indonesian people from the threat of the Corona virus.

Based on UIN NEWS Online observation, vaccination activities have been carried out since the morning at 08.00 WIB and are planned to last until the afternoon to anticipate crowds of participants.

General Chairman of IKALUIN Jakarta Dr Tb. Ace Hasan Syadzily along with a number of IKALUIN board members and UIN Jakarta leaders were also seen monitoring the implementation of activities.

In his statement, Ace said that this vaccination activity is intended for 1000 participants who are family members of the academic community of UIN Jakarta. The program was initiated by IKALUIN in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Health and supported by FK and Fikes UIN Jakarta. Ace also added that the vaccination program was also carried out to support national program in breaking the chain of Covid-19 infection.

“The vaccination event held by IKALUIN is a preventive measure and our precaution in dealing with Covid 19,” said Ace.

He also said that that the vaccination program was deliberately carried out at FK and FIKES UIN Jakarta so that the public could see the campus' concern in preventing the Covid 19 transmisson. In addition, the involvement of Islamic higher education community members was also carried out to show the public that vaccines were safe and halal.

“National health authorities and the Indonesian Ulema Council along with Islamic community organizations in the country also agreed on the safety, halalness, and importance of vaccines in strengthening the body's resistance from the threat of the virus,” said Ace. (usa/zm)
