UIN Jakarta Appoints 7 Professors
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News- Total 7 new professors in the fields of Sharia and Law at UIN Jakarta were officially appointed on Wednesday morning (8/5/2024). The appointment of these professors serves as a cornerstone for academic development and scholarly contributions in Sharia and Law at UIN Jakarta.
The event, held at the Main Auditorium of Harun Nasution, was attended by the senate chairperson, rector, Vice Rectors (Wareks), as well as the deans of UIN Jakarta. Additionally, the event was graced by the presence of invited guests and the families of the newly appointed professors.
The professors who were inaugurated are Prof. Dr. Abd. Rahman Dahlan, M.A. (Islamic Jurisprudence), Prof. Dr. Hasanudin, M.Ag. (Fiqh Muamalah), Prof. Dr. Yayan Sopyan, S.H., M.Ag., M.H. (Islamic Family Law), Prof. Dr. Mesraini, S.H., M.Ag. (Fiqh Munakahat). Then, Prof. Dr. Wardah Nuroniyah, S.H.I., M.S.I. (Islamic Family Law), Prof. Dr. Asmawi, M.Ag. (Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence), and Prof. Dr. Alimin, M.Ag. (Quranic Exegesis).
The event commenced with the singing of the national anthem, recitation of the Quranic verses, and prayers. The senate session was opened by the chairperson of the UIN Jakarta Senate, Prof. Dr. Dede Rosyada M.A., followed by the reading of the appointment decrees by Vice Rector in charge, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A.
The Chairperson of the UIN Jakarta Senate, Prof. Dr. Dede Rosyada M.A., expressed appreciation for the appointment of the 7 professors. He hoped that with the addition of these professors, there would be an increase in academic works, the emergence of new theories and innovations, and the introduction of new technologies and designs on campus, which could be utilized across various professions.
"This will demonstrate the increasingly tangible contributions of professors in advancing a prosperous, independent, and prosperous nation," he stated.
The event proceeded with speeches from each professor. Various congratulations were extended by national figures and higher education institutions, including Vice President Prof. Dr. (H.C.) K.H. Ma’ruf Amin, enriching the appointment ceremony. This was followed by the official appointment led by Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., as the rector of UIN Jakarta.
The ceremony featured the donning of the professors' sashes and the presentation of appointment decrees by the rector of UIN Jakarta. Additionally, the event concluded with a group photo.
