UIN Jakarta Declares Healthy Campus

Ciputat, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta through the Faculty of Health Sciences (Fikes) UIN Jakarta declared 'Healthy Campus' within the UIN Jakarta. This declaration is expected to strengthen the commitment of the community's awareness to implement a healthy lifestyle both in and off campus.

The online declaration was s led directly by the Dean of Fikes UIN Jakarta Zilhadia Followed by the whole community, Monday (05/11/2020) and witnessed by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis.

In his speech, the Dean hoped that in the future all members of Fikes and other faculties at UIN Jakarta made the vision of a healthy campus as a shared awareness. According to Zilhadia, campus hygiene and health is a shared responsibility of the entire academic community.

“The creation of a healthy campus cannot be done 1-2 people, but everyone. Starting leaders, educators, educational staff, especially students,” she said

Separately, Rector Amany appreciated the Healthy Campus Declaration through the Fikes initiative. According to Amany a healthy lifestyle by maintaining personal hygiene and the environment of each is a mandate of Islamic teachings.

“Moreover, we are from Islamic religious colleges, clean and healthy lifestyle should have become our character,” said Amany.

The reading of the declaration itself begins with a webinar on campus pro-healthy policies. Two experts, namely R.A. Yayi Suryo Prabandari from the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing UGM and Irma Nurbaeti from Fikes UIN Jakarta were presented as webinar speakers. (usa/zm)
