STF UIN Jakarta offers scholarships for students affected by Covid 19

Rectorate, UIN News Online – The social and humanitarian institution, the Social Trust Fund (STF) of UIN Jakarta, has once again opened a scholarship program for UIN Jakarta students who have been affected by Covid 19 in the next semester. The scholarships, which are sourced from public donations, are expected to ease the educational costs of the affected students.

Based on the official release of STF UIN Jakarta received by UIN News Online on Friday (07/02/2021), the scholarships offered are in the form of providing UKT fees and tuition assistance. “The scholarship is open to UIN Jakarta students from semester 3 to semester 9 as of August 2021,” it said.

For students who are interested, the institution asks them to first study the scholarship selection guidelines published on the STF UIN Jakarta website https://www.stfuinjakarta.org/. Registration can be done through http://bit.ly/BeasiswaCovid19STF.

Meanwhile, the Director of STF UIN Jakarta Amelia Fauzia said, the scholarship is expected to help selected students whose family economy is affected by the Covid 19 pandemic.

“Hopefully this can help students who meet the criteria for the scholarship,” she hoped.

STF itself hopes that there will be more scholarships offered to UIN Jakarta students in the future. For this reason, the institution hopes that the public will participate in channeling their donations through this social institution to be redistributed the students.

Regarding this scholarship, STF considered several aspects in its selection. Among them, the seriousness of students doing academic studies so far, the conditions of students and families affected by Covid-19, insight into philanthropy and experience in carrying out organizational activities or student volunteer activities so far.

“Another aspect, students come from areas that are below the poverty line or areas that are in dire need of graduates in certain fields,” she said. (usa/zm)
