Rector Appreciates FITK's Performance during Covid-19 Period

Rectorate, UIN News Online – Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis highly appreciates the performance and accomplishment achieved by the Faculty of Tarbiya and Teaching Sciences (FITK) during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I hope that the performance achievements during the work from home and distance learning period, will continue to be improved,” said Rector in her remarks during the Virtual Halal Bi Halal with the academic community of FITK UIN Jakarta through Zoom platform, Thursday (05/28/2020)

Also present in the event, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Zulkifli, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Masri Mansoer, Head of LPM UIN Jakarta Muhammad Zuhdi, Dean, and Deputy Deans. In addition to Silaturahmi, the activity was also filled with HBH speech by FITK Professor of Islamic Education Abuddin Nata.

Rector Amany Lubis said, during the Covid-19 period all academic community of UIN Jakarta were asked to work and study from home. In fact, employees worked almost 24 hours during this WFH period because there were a lot of things that need to be done.

“This also applies to FITK employees. Hopefully all the work gets rewarded from Allah SWT,” said Amany.

Moreover, Amany also thanked FITK because many of its students had volunteered during this pandemic era. This was seen when the Jakarta UIN philanthropic institution, the Social Trust Fund (STF), held a distribution of aid for corona-affected students, both before and during the month of Ramadan.

Meanwhile, Dean of FITK Sururin in her remarks stated her apologies and congratulations on Eid Al-Fitr 1441 H. She hoped that the apologies and forgiveness of each other on Eid al-Fitr could be an immune in the midst of the pandemic.

“We missed each other, for almost three months we have never met and met face to face. For this reason, we have a virtual gathering to treat this feeling of longing,” she said. (usa/ns)
