Profil

Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud El Gammal adalah Profesor Fikih Perbandingan di College of Islamic Studies (CIS), Universitas Hamad Bin Khalifa (HBKU), Qatar. Beliau meraih gelar Doktor (PhD) dalam bidang Fikih Perbandingan dari Universitas Al-Azhar (2005, dengan predikat distinction dan rekomendasi publikasi).

Karier akademiknya membentang selama lebih dari dua dekade, termasuk menjabat sebagai profesor di Universitas Al-Azhar serta terlibat dalam berbagai kegiatan internasional di seluruh Asia dan Afrika. Beliau telah mengajar lebih dari 50 mata kuliah, membimbing lebih dari 40 tesis master, serta berpartisipasi dalam pengembangan kurikulum tingkat tinggi dan pelatihan internasional.

Dr. El Gammal juga menjabat sebagai anggota pakar di International Islamic Fiqh Academy (Majma' al-Fiqh al-Islami al-Duwali), di mana beliau berkontribusi dalam diskusi ilmiah mengenai isu-isu kontemporer yang dihadapi masyarakat Muslim di seluruh dunia. Fokus penelitiannya mencakup hukum Islam (yurisprudensi), kaidah-kaidah fikih (qawa’id fikihiyyah), keuangan Islam, dan pendidikan. Beliau merupakan kontributor produktif dalam berbagai publikasi akademik berbahasa Arab, dengan rekam jejak yang kuat dalam arbitrase akademik dan beasiswa Islam yang relevan dengan kebijakan publik.
