Malika Ouacha, PhD adalah seorang peneliti dan dosen di Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University, Belanda, serta menjabat sebagai adjunct-assistant professor di Zakat Foundation Institute, Indianapolis University. Ia memiliki latar belakang akademis interdisipliner yang kuat sebagai seorang antropolog sosial dan budaya, dengan gelar PhD di bidang Bisnis dan Manajemen dari Erasmus University. Selain gelar doktor, ia juga memegang dua gelar master dalam bidang Antropologi Budaya dan Sosial serta Sosiologi masyarakat non-Barat, yang memperkaya pendekatannya dalam memahami dinamika sosial dan organisasi.

Fokus penelitian utamanya terletak pada filantropi diaspora dan bi-kultural, di mana ia mempelajari motif serta perilaku sukarelawan atau donatur yang memiliki identitas ganda (seperti imigran dan pengungsi) dalam menyalurkan bantuan ke negara asal mereka. Disertasinya yang berjudul "Receiving by Giving" secara mendalam meneliti dinamika pemberian lintas batas ini. Di luar aktivitas akademis, ia aktif dalam kepemimpinan sosial, termasuk menjabat sebagai ketua dewan di Expertise Centre Humanitarian Communication (HuCom) dan memimpin proyek "Museums and Restoration Volunteering for Inclusion" (MARVI) yang didanai oleh Uni Eropa.
